At Brownlow Health we provide comprehensive and confidential sexual health and contraceptive services.

Simply ask for one of the nurse appointments via reception. We have specialist Sexual Health Practitioners to assist you.

Long Acting Reversible Contraceptive (LARC) services

For Brownlow Health Central patients there is a dedicated LARC (coil and implant) clinic at Ropewalks practice on Monday morning 9-10am and Monday evening 3-6pm, and The Student Health Centre on a Wednesday morning 8:30-11am. To access this, please ask your doctor or nurse via an appointment or via an econsultation or alternatively at reception. The relevant nurse will be in touch with you to explain the procedure and arrange your appointment.

Patients at our other Brownlow Health sites can access LARC (coil and implant) services via the dedicated Central Liverpool Primary Network LARC service.  Simply ask your doctor or nurse for an appointment and they will link you in to this service.

Being screened regularly means that any abnormal changes in the cells of the cervix can be identified at an early stage and, if necessary, treated to stop cancer developing.
